The 2021 Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED blended learning course equips students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults children and infants. It is designed for students who need a certification that satisfies OSHA workplace or other regulatory requirements. This class is taught in a blended learning format and the online portion (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) must be completed prior to attending the Instructor-led skills session. Upon successful completion a valid 2 year digital certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED is issued.

Course Format

  • Blended Learning: Combines online training with an in-person skills session.
  • Online Training: Complete before attending the in-person session. Allow 1-3 hours for this part and start at least 48 hours prior to the in-person session.
  • In-Person Training: Hands-on skills training must be completed within 90 days of the online training.

Certification

  • Validity: 2 years
  • Certificate: Digital, issued upon successful completion

Registration Requirements

  • Proof of Online Completion: Required to attend the in-person training
  • Email: Each registrant must provide a unique email address for course-related information. Can’t use the same email address
  • Comfortable Clothing: Dress comfortably as skills are performed on the floor. Contact the office in advance if you have medical restrictions.

 

 

 

 

This course will train instructor candidates to teach basic-level American Red Cross First Aid, CPR and AED courses. In order to participate in this course, you must possess a current basic-level American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED certification including hands-on training (online-only certificates cannot be accepted) or equivalent and be at least 16 years of age on the last day of the instructor course.

  • Pre-class Requirements: Upon registration, it is important that you review and follow the directions in the e-mail attachment sent with your registration confirmation. This is a blended learning course consisting of online content, a pre-course skill session and classroom segment. Online material must be completed prior to attending the classroom activities. You will receive the link to the pre-course work information the next business morning. 
  • Instructor Materials: Digital materials for instructing classes are provided through ARC at no additional cost, including the Instructor Manual and Course Presentations.  A digital, or hardcopy, of the Instructor Manual is required to participate in this course. Hardcopy manuals are optional and may be purchased through Nation's Best CPR, American Red Cross, or you may print your own copy.
